Neuschwanstein castle, Germany.
Baron Von Ludwig's castle, AKA Mad King Ludwig.
Quick story: I was there with my parents in 1989. My dad and I went past the main entrance to go up a side trail to an photo overlook. The path was maybe 12" wide, with a hundred-plus foot drop as it switchbacked up the mountainside, with no safety devices at all. At the end of the path, there was a tree growing sideways out of the hillside, then curving upward. The guy ahead of me - his feet stopped a foot or so short of that tree, and he just put all his faith in that tree as he grabbed ahold of the well-worn spot of it where thousands of people had done so before.
